An independent school for girls in grades 6-12, guided by the teachings of the Catholic Church and the spirituality of Opus Dei, Oakcrest School was founded in 1976 and is located in Vienna, Virginia, 17 miles west of Washington, D.C. Oakcrest students come from all over the DMV, and our students and families as well as our faculty and staff are noted for their deep commitment to the school’s mission.
Oakcrest School seeks a full-time, experienced art teacher to join our professional learning community starting in August 2025. The successful candidate will be an accomplished educator with teaching experience in drawing and painting and a strong educational background in the liberal arts. We seek teachers who are passionate about their subjects and dedicated to guide students in strong academic habits and are committed to collaborating, reflecting and growing in their teaching practice. Strong applicants will have a degree in art, at least three years of classroom experience in art methods and education, and an appreciation for an independent school environment and an all-girls’ education.
