Teachers Thrive at Oakcrest
An independent school for girls in grades 6-12, guided by the teachings of the Catholic Church and the spirituality of Opus Dei, Oakcrest School was founded in 1976 and is located in Vienna, Virginia, 17 miles west of Washington, D.C. Oakcrest students come from all over the DMV, and our students and families as well as our faculty and staff are noted for their deep commitment to the school’s mission.

In addition to teaching four or more sections of academic courses and serving as outstanding role models to our girls, all faculty members at Oakcrest School are involved in student life - as mentors, coaches and facilitators of co-curricular activities such as drama, publications, debate, service clubs and student-initiated clubs.

All new faculty members are mentored by a veteran teacher, and the entire faculty participates in various professional development opportunities throughout the year.
