Oakcrest seeks to foster academic excellence, character development, creativity, and cultural awareness through the visual arts.
Our Middle School visual arts curriculum helps young artists find their own creative voices through various methods of artistic expression. Students are introduced to a variety of materials and techniques through weekly and bi-weekly Studio Art classes. They gain introductory knowledge in the history of art, principles of design, and art appreciation. Students enjoy a variety of opportunities to showcase their work and share their unique journey of creativity with the school community.
Upper School students have the opportunity for advanced study in the visual arts. They further their creative knowledge by learning and refining essential skills in drawing, painting, and portfolio development.
