Looking back, I can see seeds of so much of my life having been planted then: learning the value of personal relationships, knowing what it is to listen and understand, having been listened to and understood myself, wanting to do something great and good with my life. Also valuing good work, a job well done, not only with intelligence and responsibility but with cheerfulness and generosity. These and so many other facets of the Oakcrest experience constantly come to bear on both my personal life and my professional path.

Oakcrest has instilled in me a desire to be a loyal friend and someone that my friends can count on for whatever they may need, and I plan to take all these characteristics outside of Oakcrest with me to college. I want to be that friend that people know they can count on and trust with anything. All these attributes that I have listed are instilled within every Oakcrest student, creating girls that will be the face of Jesus Christ on this earth to everyone that they encounter.”

I think everything about Oakcrest is so carefully thought and prayed over to make each girl's experience the best it can be, but I particularly love the mentoring program. All of the teachers and staff at Oakcrest truly care and are invested in each of their mentees and it is so great to gain their wisdom and reset for the month. It is also a great way to get comfortable with talking to adults and teachers so that you can ask others when the time comes.

Oakcrest is a great school where girls are prepared to be the best person they can be. The mentoring program is one of the areas that teaches the students to communicate with an adult and learn how to seek help when the needs arise. These young ladies are well-rounded and prepared to be excellent citizens in any vocation that God calls them to be.

Oakcrest’s mission of cultivating virtues in our daughters extends from the classroom to our courts, fields, and pools. Oakcrest educates the whole person. Sports allow our daughters to experience challenges and teamwork in a unique and beautiful way that transforms their confidence into strength.

(Oakcrest is) a strong community, rooted in friendship, centered on the sacraments. This is helped by deep connections with the teachers and mentors.

What I appreciate most about being an Oakcrest Student is how cared for and accepted I feel in the community. Oakcrest is the only school that I shadowed where the students took a genuine interest in me and strived to get to know me during my short visit. Even on the first day of school I was asked by many if I wanted to join them at lunch so that I would not be sitting alone. The friendships I have made at Oakcrest are unlike any others I have made in the past or at other places. I truly feel at home when I enter the Oakcrest building.

It’s really good for the students to know that the teachers love their subjects and not just teaching it, but also living it.
