Since its founding in 1976, parent partnership has been at the heart of the mission and philosophy of Oakcrest School. In a spirit of friendship and mutual trust, Oakcrest collaborates with parents in helping their daughters to be young women of intellect, faith, and virtue. This partnership between parents and the school brings parents closer to their daughters, teachers to their students, and students to one another. With this family spirit, we work personally with each student, family, faculty, and staff member. Our goal is the improvement of each of us so we can bring out the best in each other, and we can make the path to holiness easier and more attractive to all.
We are committed to supporting parents as the primary educators of their daughters. By offering continuing education programs for parents, we assist parents in their noble mission of forming their daughters to be passionate, confident, empathetic, and service-oriented leaders. Parents can assist their daughter’s success by encouraging her development of a growth mindset, perseverance, and resilience. As a student matures, parents are vital in helping her learn self-advocacy and proactive constructive communication with her teachers. When the school and parents are united in this noble mission, we are best able to achieve the common goal of educating young women of character - girls who thrive at Oakcrest, in college, and beyond.
